BMD Urban successfully deliver another stage in the Brentwood Forest Estate
BMD Urban’s scope of works for stages 29-32 involved 47002 metres of 50 millimetre and 25 millimetre asphalt road surfacing, 38002 metres of concrete sleeper retaining walls, 655 metres of stormwater reticulation including a 13002 metre bio retaining wall, 100 metres of Polyethylene sewer reticulation and 1.1 kilometres of Polyethylene water reticulation.
By investing in a collaborative approach with the client from the early stages of the project, the team identified key challenges and generated risk management strategies to overcome erosion and sediment control in steep terrain, and the presence of existing services including an oil pipeline. They also successfully constructed a large bio filtration basin with limited access.
The project team focused on enhancing the client’s return on investment, reaching project completion ahead of schedule, 21,590 hours lost time injury free. The project team was also awarded the Golden Digger Award, a quarterly award presented to a South East Queensland BMD Urban team in recognition of exceptional safety performance. This internal initiative encourages friendly competition while maintaining our commitment to Zero Harm.
