Fortitude Program
BMD’s Fortitude Program is designed to grow the skills of identified emerging leaders within our business. Delivered over 18 months across five modules, this specialised program helps take participants’ careers to the next level to become innovative thinkers, supportive and empathetic managers, and dynamic leaders.

Formwork Program
BMD’s Formwork Program brings together an identified group of promising and capable site personnel and equips them with the skills and tools to be future leaders in our business.
The program is designed to strengthen the self-performing capabilities that these individuals already display and encourage them on a path of successful future leadership at BMD.
Evolve Program
BMD’s Evolve initiative is a carefully curated program of learning delivered through a series of workshops, each focused on unique elements of interpersonal intelligence and how they support leadership and our teams. It’s a powerful professional development course aimed at cultivating a highly collaborative, and innovative workforce.
Chartered Status for engineers
In conjunction with Engineers Australia, BMD provides our people with a structured program of professional development to achieve Chartered Status – the pinnacle accreditation for engineers being an internationally recognised measure of excellence.
Chartered Status is applicable to all forms of engineering work and opens doors for further opportunities at BMD.

Constructionarium
BMD is a firm believer in partnering with industry bodies and associations for the development of our industry and our people.
BMD, alongside Aurecon, founded Constructionarium Australia, an initiative to develop practically minded engineers. The program involves participants working in teams to construct scaled-down versions of iconic bridges, dams and civil engineering projects from all around the world to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering construction as well as developing teamwork and management skills.
As well as being involved in the ongoing operations of Constructionarium Australia, at BMD, we utilise the program to support our engineers in the early stages of their careers by providing the opportunity to translate theory into practice by planning, tendering, building and handing over scale projects.
