Dare Awards
The BMD Dare Awards are our annual recognition program designed to encourage innovation, reward excellent performance, and acknowledge those who go above and beyond.
Following peer nomination, Dare Award nominees are shortlisted by senior management before being presented to the Board, who carefully consider nominees before selecting the winners.
The Dare Awards often see more than 1000 nominations, showing how embedded peer support is within BMD’s culture.
The Dare Awards are named after BMD Founder Mick Power’s father Dare, recognising his contribution to the establishment of the business – but also dares us to innovate, be dynamic, and embrace new challenges.
20 Year Club
At BMD, we have a significant number of employees that have been with us for 20 years or more.
These employees form our 20 Year Club, which has shown continued success since it was founded in 2007.
New members are inducted to BMD’s 20 Year Club annually by our Group Board Chairman and Managing Director Mick Power at a celebratory event.
We are proud of our long-serving employees and are grateful for the essential role they have played in BMD’s success.
