Riverlea Pump Station

About the project

BMD Urban has been engaged by Walker Corporation to construct a state-of-the-art vacuum wastewater pump station as part of the Riverlea Estate development in Adelaide's northern suburbs.

This project follows land development works recently undertaken in the estate by BMD Urban.

This critical infrastructure will provide efficient and reliable vacuum pumping for sewer mains, servicing approximately 1830 existing residential and retail lots within the estate.

The pump station's basement has been designed to house essential mechanical components. The basement is being built below groundwater level, presenting unique challenges that BMD Urban is expertly managing.

The team is installing a robust waterproofing system to ensure the basement's integrity and continuous pumping is required to manage groundwater during construction.
