BMD celebrates three decades of shaping North Queensland

The NQ team gathered to celebrate 30 years of BMD operations in the region
The BMD Group is celebrating our 30th anniversary year of operations in North Queensland, marking decades of growth and success in the region.

During this time, BMD has delivered critical infrastructure projects and urban developments, leveraging our expertise to achieve connected and accessible communities.

BMD Chief Executive Officer Scott Power said the 30th anniversary year provided the chance to reflect on all that had been achieved while looking ahead to new opportunities.

“Reaching this 30-year milestone is a testament to the dedication and resilience of our teams and the genuine relationships we build with clients, partners, and communities across North Queensland,” he said.

“We take great pride in our work, with some of the infrastructure we’ve delivered including the Haughton Pipeline Duplication, Palmer Street upgrade, the Strand water park development, Townsville CBD Utilities upgrade and master-planned communities like Kalynda Chase and the Dunes. We look forward to delivering more landscape-shaping projects, continuing our legacy of excellence as a collaborative and reliable partner.”

BMD’s commitment to the North Queensland community extends to our long-standing relationship with the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys which is built on our alignment of family values, community reach and a high-performance focus.

“At BMD, we have an expansive sporting partnership portfolio to platform our community values, with our support for the Cowboys built on a shared commitment to North Queensland,” Mr Power said.

As BMD looks to our future, we remain inherently focused on our diversification strategy, enhancing our capabilities and offerings, while supporting growth opportunities in the energy and water sectors.

With a continued focus on partnership, collaboration and trust, BMD is positioned to deliver infrastructure that connect and transform communities.
