About the project

Spanning across 25,000m2, this state-of-the-art facility is a new local hub for SA Power Networks operations.

Project scope

An integrated office, amenities, undercover truck parking and a standalone warehouse

Landscaped surroundings, carparks, and driveways for trucks and personnel

Comprehensive installation of hydraulic, electrical, communication, fire, and stormwater services

Innovations

The original design required 100% cut-to-disposal, with all fill material to be imported due to a calcareous layer across the site. However, by leveraging our team's expertise and collaborating with third-party geotechnical engineers, we worked closely with the design team to reassess this approach – unlocking opportunities for the strategic reuse of site-won material.

Through rigorous testing and analysis, we demonstrated that the existing material could be reused while still meeting the required compaction levels. This innovative solution not only delivered substantial cost savings but also allowed for the reinstatement of a warehouse building previously removed from the design, enhancing the overall value and functionality of the project.
